One of the main reasons why a child’s mind ceases to learn things at a pace at which we want him to learn is his lack of participation and unwillingness. Therefore, an ideal teacher focuses on teaching in a way that the child finds easy and interesting to learn and gain knowledge.
Their involvement in every activity, experiment, discussion and other sessions is a must. Merely teaching and explaining things don’t do much good to a child’s mind when he is not ready to accept these theories. We first need to put their minds in a position to grasp things which can only be achieved when he is willing.
Willingness can easily be created by changing the method. I once came to know about one educational institution in Gurgaon named Vidya Bharti Educational Institutions (www.vidyabharti.in). It aims at providing coaching classes to everyone in affordable fees. When I visited the place, it was Sunday and one workshop was going on, lead by a young man. The way he was explaining things was amazing and I could see the smiling faces of all the teachers and the students. No one was engaged in any other activity but only workshop. It was about Personality Development and it went pretty well.
So this is what I was talking about. Creating interest by changing the method can do wonders to a student’s mind. Go for a new method if you are not getting fruitful results by the students through your old method.
