You can’t name a person, who doesn’t want to become Mr. Perfectionist. No, I’m not talking about Aamir Khan 😀
Jokes apart, it’s not about studies or dancing or painting, it’s about everything and anything in which you desire to excel. A heard a child saying ,”I want to be like Taylor Swift. Her voice is just perfect and so soothing.” Your misconception will slowly drift away if you directly go to Taylor Swift to ask if she really feels the same. The main point that we miss all the time is that a person who takes his art as a challenge never accepts himself to be perfect no matter what height he has achieved.
I’m not the first one to say that one should run behind progress and not for perfection. Simply understand that perfection is a “myth”. Once you are able to understand this fact, you’ll be surprised by the results. What you’ll find is that your daily progress on which you’d made plans and worked, would seem to be more fulfilling than your definition of Perfection.
What I personally believe is that a thing can only be called perfect or best, until there is zero probability of improvement in it.
So, instead of running behind perfection, let’s focus more on competing with ourselves daily.
